We have a long history of successfully working jointly with our clients and government officials to implement constitutional changes. Our firm has written legislation and worked with various parties in numerous constitutional matters. Additionally, we have been involved in drafting each usury amendment in Arkansas since Amendment 60. We have broad experience in drafting proposed legislation and in representing both sponsors and opponents in the initiative and referendum process.

We have written much of the bond legislation in Arkansas for the last 50 years, and have handled numerous lawsuits through the Arkansas Supreme Court testing the constitutionality of such legislation.

In 2019, our bond department participated in 153 bond issues, representing 85.4 percent of the total issues in Arkansas. 

We have represented clients in matters regulated by the Arkansas Public Service Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality, the Arkansas Oil & Gas Commission and the Arkansas Highway & Transportation Department. The largest Class One freight railroad in the country frequently calls on us with respect to regulatory issues. We also have extensive experience representing citizens and public servants before the Arkansas Ethics Commission and have also provided counsel to those clients to comply with the applicable Ethics Law.
