At Friday, Eldredge & Clark, we recognize that employers do not operate in a vacuum and that the world is smaller than ever. Our attorneys provide comprehensive guidance and representation to help your business navigate complex immigration and compliance issues.
Focused on Services
Immigration - Our attorneys advise clients in preparing and filing of labor certifications, nonimmigrant visa petitions, and applications for permanent residency. We work with our clients to identify the most appropriate vehicle to achieve their business immigration needs. In the process, we proactively review, analyze and address issues that may arise with the hiring of foreign workers.
We have advised and assisted clients with a variety of visa types, including:
- Labor certifications (PERM applications), permanent residency and adjustment of status petitions in conjunction with employment-based immigration visas (EB-2 and EB-3)
- Work visas for specialty occupation workers (H-1B)
- Visas for foreign nationals to work in the United States as foreign investors (E-2), or to obtain legal permanent residency status as investors
- Professional workers from Canada or Mexico (TN)
We have also advised clients on family-based immigration options when appropriate.
Employer Compliance - All employers are required to verify the employment eligibility of their employees. Friday, Eldredge & Clark attorneys assist clients in establishing I-9 compliance procedures and implementing best practices for maintaining proper documentation. Attorneys also provide guidance regarding the use of e-Verify. Additionally, our employment law litigators work collaboratively to defend employers who are subject to I-9 audits, investigations, worksite enforcement actions, and immigration-related discrimination claims.
