When Little Rock attorney Bill Waddell found himself in the national spotlight in August, he embraced it to spread the word on the first rural legal-medical partnership in Arkansas.

Attorney Michelle Ator took part in a panel discussion focused on malpractice litigation trends at the Arkansas Hospital Association's Annual Meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The discussion titled "Tales from the Trenches: War Stories From the Defense Bar" was led by moderator Elisa White, AHA's vice president and general counsel.

Michelle Ator of Friday, Eldredge & Clark, LLP has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), one of the premier legal organizations in North America. She is only the fourth woman in Arkansas to achieve this accomplishment since the organization’s inception in 1950. The induction ceremony took place Saturday, September 16 at the ACTL Annual Meeting in Montreal, Quebec.

Chambers and Partners has recognized Friday, Eldredge & Clark and three of the firm’s attorneys in its 2017 edition of Chambers High Net Worth. The firm is the only Band 1 firm, which is the highest ranking in Chambers, and out of seven ranked attorneys in private wealth law, three are from the firm.

Friday, Eldredge & Clark, LLP will host its Tax Update Seminar on Wednesday, October 25 at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers and on Thursday, November 9 at UALR Bowen School of Law. Each is a one-day comprehensive program that highlights the most important and up-to-date information on tax law. The program will take place from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m and will include breakfast and lunch for attendees.

The Arkansas Health Information Management Association hosted a half-day workshop focused on legal issues in the industry. Attorneys Lynda Johnsonand Tonya Gierke presented at the event. Topics discussed included an overview of legal health records, responding to subpoenas, the retention and destruction of health records, HIPAA security rule and audits and amendments to electronic health records.
