Friday, Eldredge & Clark, LLP and Farmers Bank & Trust will host the 2017 Tax Planning Update Seminar for Certified Public Accountants and attorneys on Thursday, May 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch is included and attendees will qualify for 1.5 hours of CLE credits and 1.5 hours of CPE credits in Arkansas. Space is limited and the cost to register is $20.

Attorney Bradley S. Runyon spoke recently at the Pulaski County Bar Association's 2017 Medical Malpractice Seminar that was held at the UALR Bowen School of Law. The one-day seminar focused on a variety of topics related to the medical malpratice area of law.

Over the weekend, 29 teams from 23 high schools competed in the state finals of the ArkBar Mock Trial Competition.

The IRS revised its Employee Plans determination letter program for individually designed qualified plans earlier this year. With this revision, the IRS is no longer providing determination letters for the mandatory periodic amendments that will continue to be required by the IRS for changes in the law which is causing concern with some employers.
