Friday, Eldredge & Clark, LLP is pleased to announce Justin McGuire as the firm’s new Chief Information Officer (CIO). McGuire stepped into this role following the retirement of Greg McKee, who served as CIO for 21 years and played a key role in shaping the firm’s technology strategy.
With nearly 18 years of experience at the firm, McGuire brings extensive IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and legal technology expertise to his leadership role.
McGuire joined the firm in 2006, beginning in user support, where he developed a strong foundation in problem-solving and communication. Over the years, he advanced into project management, system administration, and IT infrastructure, gaining a comprehensive understanding of legal technology's technical and business aspects.
As CIO, McGuire’s primary focus is ensuring that attorneys and staff have secure, reliable technology to support their work. His role includes managing IT infrastructure for scalability and resilience, as well as balancing security and efficiency to enhance firm operations. When it comes to adopting new technology, security remains his top priority:
“No matter how innovative or efficient a solution is, if it introduces security risks, it’s not worth it. Protecting client data always comes first.”
McGuire holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Arkansas Tech University and a master’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Outside of work, he enjoys keeping up with the latest advancements in AI and legal tech, recognizing its potential to revolutionize document review, research, and workflow automation in law firms. Friday, Eldredge & Clark is excited to have McGuire leading the firm’s IT strategy.
