Jamie Huffman Jones Elected as President-Elect Designee for Arkansas Bar Association

The Arkansas Bar Association (ArkBar) recently announced the appointment of Jamie Huffman Jones as the new President-Elect Designee, after an uncontested election on October 2, 2023. Jamie, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and a member of the management committee, has a strong commitment to her profession and community. She has previously served in various leadership roles, including on ArkBar’s Board of Trustees, the Executive Committee, the Board of Governors, and House of Delegates.

Jamie has received numerous awards and recognitions for her work and contributions to the legal field. She was honored twice with Presidential Awards of Excellence by ArkBar, in 2023 for her outstanding contribution as Chair of the Membership Value Task Force and in 2017 for her work on the Drafting Task Force. She has also been presented with three Golden Gavel Awards for her work as chair of the Mid-Year Meeting in 2019, co-chair of the Jurisprudence and Law Reform Committee in 2020, and co-chair of the Annual Meeting in 2021.

Jamie is a Fellow of the Arkansas Bar Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors. She was recently appointed by the Arkansas Supreme Court to serve a three-year term on its Civil Practice Committee, following her term as Chair of the Arkansas Model Jury Instructions Committee. Additionally, she is the immediate past President of the Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel and was selected in 2016 to the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel. In 2021, Jamie was honored with the Joseph R. Olshan Award by the Federation for her work as the Chair of the Amicus and Public Policy Committee.
