Little Rock, AR - Amie K. Wilcox graduates from the highly regarded Leadership Greater Little Rock Class of XXXVIII.
Leadership Greater Little Rock (LGLR) is a respected nine-month community leadership program that aims to develop and connect leaders from various sectors, including businesses, nonprofits, and government. Throughout the program, participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the region's challenges and opportunities through expert speakers, panel discussions, tours, and group presentations.
Established in 1985, Leadership Greater Little Rock has been instrumental in nurturing community leaders by providing in-depth training on local public policy issues. Sessions cover a wide range of topics, including government, the local economy, education, and social services. Through a combination of lectures, tours, and interactive dialogue, participants gain valuable insights and knowledge to address these issues effectively.
Amie Wilcox's practice area of focus lies in healthcare regulatory and compliance matters, including HIPAA, Stark I and Stark II, Anti-Kickback, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, and physician and hospital organization issues. Her clientele includes hospitals, physician groups, and other medical service providers. Additionally, she assists employers with employment-based immigration matters. Prior to her current role, Amie gained professional policy experience working with organizations such as the National Agricultural Law Center, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and the United States Department of Agriculture, Foreign Agricultural Service.
Amie's exceptional work in healthcare law was recognized when she was named "One to Watch" by Best Lawyers in America in 2022. Her educational background includes a Juris Doctor (summa cum laude) from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, where she served as an Associate Editor of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Law Review. She also holds a Master of Public Service degree from the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service and a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural, Food, and Life Sciences (with distinction) from the University of Arkansas.
In addition to her professional achievements, Amie actively contributes to her community. In 2020, she received the Legal Aid of Arkansas Pro Bono Volunteer Attorney of the Year award, recognizing her commitment to providing legal assistance to those in need.
