Thursday, May 25th, marked a memorable evening as the Pulaski County Bar Association Annual Meeting honored the late Jim Simpson. Jim was recognized and awarded the highly esteemed Sidney S. McMath Professionalism Award. His wife, Karen Simpson, and their daughter, Caitlin West, accepted the award on his behalf. This prestigious honor was a testament to Jim's record of practice, honor, dependability and consistently embodying the highest ideals of integrity.

Don Bacon, a close friend, and colleague of Jim's for over 45 years, presented the award. Don shared moments from their many meetings and lunches where he recalled how Jim would often discuss encounters with judges or lawyers, where the main concern was never whether something was legal or ethical but rather whether it was the right thing to do. It was this unwavering commitment to ethical conduct that set Jim apart and made him a beacon of professionalism. Undoubtedly Simpson will be remember in the legal industry for years to come.
