Attorney J. Shepherd Russell III was the honored guest at last night’s 10th Annual Bow Tie Bash held at the Clinton Presidential Center. The event is the flagship fundraiser for Arkansas Commitment, a nonprofit organization created to identify academically talented African-American high school students throughout central Arkansas and guide them to become leaders of society at large, as well as within the African-American community.
The annual event is an opportunity for the program’s graduating class to network with members of the business community and celebrate their accomplishments as they embark on the next step in their academic careers.
All proceeds from the Bow Tie Bash event go towards continuing the organization’s efforts within the Central Arkansas community.
Shep, a partner in the firm's Public Finance Practice Group where he has practiced exclusively since 1978, is a longtime supporter of the Arkansas Commitment Program.
