Attorneys Honored by Pulaski County Bar

Attorneys Michael S. Moore and Allison C. Pearson, both in the labor and employment practice group at Friday, Eldredge & Clark, were honored last night at the Pulaski County Bar Association’s (PCBA) Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner.

Mike received the Award of Excellence "in recognition of outstanding service and dedication to Arkansas Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program Committee (JLAP) and to the judges and attorneys of Arkansas." Mike has worked to triple the amount of people served by the program which provides mental health and substance abuse services to Arkansas’ judges, lawyers and their family members. Mike has been involved with the program for six years and previously served as vice-president.

The President’s Award was presented to Allison in recognition for our “outstanding contributions to the legal community” though her work on the PCBA Board of Directors. Appointed to her first term in 2018, she was recently elected to serve on the board through 2021. The mission of the Pulaski County Bar Association is to serve our members, our profession and the public by promoting professionalism, collegiality, education and service among members of the bench and bar to advance the cause of justice in our community.

Michael Moore and Allison Pearson were honored by the Pulaski County Bar Association on Thursday, May 23, 2019. 

Michael is a partner in the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group with an emphasis on employment discrimination defense. He specializes in litigation of discrimination cases, wage-hour collective actions, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, FMLA and employee and supervisor training. He is also a frequent speaker on a variety of employment law topics. Mike has extensive experience before the EEOC and the Wage-Hour Division of the United States Department of Labor, as well as litigation experience in both federal and state courts.

Allison is an associate in the Labor and Employment Practice Group. Allison advises employers in all aspects of the labor and employment laws including compliance with Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the National Labor Relations Act and the Occupational Safety and Health Act. She also regularly defends employers in claims of discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, and wage-and-hour violations before federal and state courts and administrative agencies.
