Katie M. Eaves Speaks at NWA Events

Attorney Katie M. Eaves has become the “go-to” speaker in NWA for trust and estate matters, especially on issues related to nonprofit law. In the last few months, Katie has spoken at six different events that were attended by attorneys, students, nonprofit workers, tax professionals and community leaders.

In October, the Rogers/Lowell Chamber of Commerce invited Katie to speak to local professionals about financial and governance considerations for nonprofit organizations and their board members. She also spoke to students at the University of Arkansas School of Law about nonprofit formation.

In November, she spoke to the Benton County Bar Association, where she serves as president, on estate planning for the general practitioner. She focused on ethics in the tax profession at two firm-hosted seminars in Rogers and Little Rock. Katie ended the month at Circle of Life where she discussed with local individuals about basic estate planning, charitable giving and end of life planning.

Katie is an associate in the firm’s Trust and Estate Planning Practice Group. She received a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Florida. Katie concentrates her practice in estate planning, trust and estate administration, probate matters, estate and gift taxation and formation and planning for exempt organizations.
