Attorney Katie M. Eaves has been elected to serve as President of the Benton County Bar Association. Katie, who will begin her role on July 1, 2018, has served as the organization’s Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer in previous years.
During the Arkansas Bar Foundation’s Annual Fellows’ Dinner on Wednesday, June 13, the Benton County Bar Association received the award for Outstanding Local Bar Association Award.
The purpose of the award is to recognize local bars who have served their areas with outstanding activities that have an outreach in the community and in support of their local bar.
Katie was instrumental in the association’s recognition having authored the nomination letter that focused on the increase in membership, CLE presentation involvement, pro bono hours and fundraising efforts.
Katie is an associate in the firm’s Trust and Estate Planning Practice Group. She received a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Florida. Katie concentrates her practice in estate planning, trust and estate administration, probate matters, estate and gift taxation and formation and planning for exempt organizations.
