Kevin Crass Joins CCJ/COSCA Civil Justice Reform Summit

May 4, 2018

Attorney Kevin Crass was invited to be a panelist at the Conference of Chief Justices/COSCA Southern Civil Justice Reform Summit that took place earlier this week in Little Rock. The three-day event is hosted by the National Center for State Courts in partnership with the State Justice Institution.

The event consisted of a mixture of plenary sessions, workshops and state team planning sessions devoted to topics such as efficiency, cost saving, providing wider system access and the individual judge’s role in improving the Civil Justice System. The summit invites each state’s Chief Justice and State Court Administrator from the Southern Region.

Kevin was part of a panel discussion that focused on successful strategies in engaging civil justice stakeholders in court reform efforts and the importance of attracting a broader group to these efforts.

The panel also included Marcy Eason of Miller & Miller, PLLC and Charles Schneider of the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and was moderated by Deborah Taylor Tate, State Court Administrator of Tennessee.

Kevin serves as head of the firm’s Class Action and Business Litigation Practice Group. He focuses his practice on significant, complex business litigation in federal and state courts including the defense of claims involving class actions, securities fraud, ERISA, business torts, trade secrets, patent and trademark infringement, product liability, environmental and toxic torts, and breach of contract, among others.  Kevin also provides clients with representation before governmental bodies and counsels them in regulatory matters.
