Three Attorneys Recognized as "Leaders in Their Fields" 

Chambers and Partners has recognized Friday, Eldredge & Clark and three of the firm’s attorneys in its 2017 edition of Chambers High Net Worth. The firm is the only Band 1 firm, which is the highest ranking in Chambers, and out of seven ranked attorneys in private wealth law, three are from the firm. The attorneys who are named “leaders in their fields” are Byron M. Eiseman Jr.Tom Baxter and J. Lee Brown.

The guide covers private wealth management work in key areas around the world, and its rankings are based on extensive research and in-depth interviews with clients and industry leaders.

The trust and estate planning team consists of seven attorneys who are lauded by sources for their expertise and approach to matters. "Their group is very knowledgeable about everything they deal with. They are very easy to work with and clients always think highly of them. They work well with clients," observes one interviewee. Another commentator says: "I was blown away by their extensive knowledge of the US legal system and tax code."

The group advises a variety of clients including the owners of closely held businesses, entrepreneurs and highly compensated professionals, while they also help fiduciaries with trust and estate administration procedures.

Eiseman, who is ranked as a “senior statesman,” is a former managing partner of the firm and continues to advise clients, including the owners of substantial family businesses and multi-generational families. According to Chambers, members of the Arkansas estate planning community hold Eiseman in high esteem for his decades of work and deep tax law knowledge. 

Baxter leads the firm's trust and estate planning practice group and has an excellent reputation among interviewees, according to Chambers.  Baxter represents high net worth individuals and families with substantial assets in Arkansas, including valuable family businesses and agricultural holdings. His practice includes tax planning for individuals and couples, estate administration and probate. According to Chambers, one interviewee said "Tom's strengths are his knowledge of the tax laws and estate planning - he is excellent in knowing all that information - and also his communication skill.”

Brown, a partner in the trust and estate planning practice group, "is highly intelligent, extremely competent and very thorough," according to one source interviewed by Chambers. Brown assists wealthy clients with estate planning, including trusts, wills and probate and works with corporate and non-profit entities.
