Amie Wilcox has been selected for the 38th Class of Leadership Greater Little Rock.
She joins 47 other local professionals for a nine-month curriculum designed to develop community leaders. Participants are trained and educated on regional public policy issues and concerns to help them understand the region’s challenges and opportunities. The program covers various topics, including government, the region’s economy, education, social services and more. The program is known to challenge participants to think critically and be empowered. Sessions consist of lectures, tours, dialogue, and interaction between speakers and participants. 
As a member of the Little Rock Regional Leadership Greater Program, Amie and her fellow members kicked things off this weekend with the motto “Play safe. Play hard. Play Fair. Have fun.” Suspended 25 feet in the air, they were challenged to overcome several obstacles, all while encouraging and motivating each other to the end.
The leadership program was started in 1985 by the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce and now has several hundred graduates who, together as alumni, continue to lead many of the region’s community efforts. “I am honored to be selected. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind educational opportunity.” Wilcox said.
Active in the community, Amie serves as a founding board member for the Arkansas chapter of the Appleseed Network and serves on the board of the Arkansas Association of Women Lawyers. Prior to joining the firm, Amie developed a professional policy background while working with various organizations such as the National Agricultural Law Center, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and the United States Department of Agriculture, Foreign Agricultural Service.
Amie is an associate in the Little Rock office and focuses her practice on healthcare regulatory and compliance matters such as HIPAA, Stark I and Stark II, Anti-Kickback, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, and physician and hospital organization issues. Amie’s clients include hospitals, physician groups, and other medical service providers. She also works with employers on employment-based immigration matters. She is recognized as a 2023 Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Health Law.
