BIOGRAPHY

Liz K. Harris is a member of the Labor and Employment Practice Group, where she focuses on representing employers in court and before administrative agencies on a wide range of employment claims.

Harris joined the firm after serving as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jerome T. Kearney, Chief Magistrate Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. Before her district court clerkship, she worked as an attorney for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, primarily focusing on federal contract law. She also gained appellate experience as a clerk to the Honorable Lavenski R. Smith, former Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Earlier in her career, Harris served as an AmeriCorps attorney at the Center for Arkansas Legal Services. After passing the bar, she briefly clerked at the Arkansas Court of Appeals. 

Harris earned her Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, where she served as Notes and Comments Editor for the UA Little Rock Law Review. She also holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
