Arkansas Bar Association Appoints Amie Schoeppel Wilcox to Legal Aid of Arkansas Board of Directors

LITTLE ROCK, AR – February 27th, 2024 – The Arkansas Bar Association recently announced the appointment of Amie Schoeppel Wilcox to the Board of Directors of Legal Aid of Arkansas. The appointment, effective immediately, is for a three-year term, extending until December 31, 2026.

Arkansas Bar Association President Margaret Dobson expressed sincere appreciation for Amie's longstanding commitment to providing pro bono legal assistance to clients of Legal Aid of Arkansas. Dobson noted Amie's current leadership role, where she spearheads a team of attorneys from the Friday Firm, actively contributing to the Medical Legal Partnership at the Mid-Delta Clinic in Clarendon.

Notably, Amie was recognized as "One to Watch" by Best Lawyers in America for her experience in healthcare law. Amie focuses her practice on healthcare regulatory and compliance matters, including HIPAA, Stark I and Stark II, Anti-Kickback, and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, Amie's clientele consists of hospitals, physician groups, and various medical service providers. She also provides strategic guidance to employers on employment-based immigration matters.

Amie's dedication to public service is evident through her involvement in various associations and organizations, including the Arkansas Bar Association, American Health Law Association, American Immigration Lawyers’ Association, Arkansas Association of Women Lawyers (former board member), Arkansas Appleseed Legal Justice Center (also a Board Member), and now being named to the Legal Aid of Arkansas Board of Directors.
